The Department of Respiratory Care at the College of Health, Arts & Sciences (HAS) is accepting applications for the role of Associate/Assistant Professor at the Klamath Falls campus of Oregon Tech.
Job Description:
The position provides instruction in both respiratory care didactic and laboratory courses. The faculty member must be well-rounded and creative in their teaching methods and approaches. They should have the ability to present materials to students, while demonstrating the use of relevant medical equipment. Although teaching is an essential part of this position, the ability to work with students on applied research and/or scholarly work is also key to this position. Further, the position will work closely with the program director in developing current evidence-based courses in online learning with NBRC/AARC guidelines and content.

The College of Health, Arts and Sciences (HAS) is a multidisciplinary college offering degree programs at multiple locations within the Pacific Northwest. HAS is an expansive and diverse college that includes 10 academic units which develop leading professions health sciences such as dental hygiene, medical imaging technology, medical laboratory science, respiratory care, dentistry, and polysomnography, humanities, social sciences, communication, and mathematics. Qualification Requirements:
Master’s Degree
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) granted by the National Board or Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Respiratory Care Licensure by the State of Oregon
At least 5 years of hospital care experience with educational background in academia, medical facility or student/new hire orientation
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate or other terminal degree
Previous or current instructor in a respiratory care program
Experience with CoARC accreditation
Familiarity with conducting institutional assessments
