Our efforts are intentional, deliberate, and a fundamental part of the everyday expectation for working at Navos. About the PositionThe Child, Youth & Family Therapist provides a full range of direct and indirect services to children, adolescents and their families within a framework of recovery, resiliency, and wellness. Services may include: individual psychotherapy, family therapy, case management services, assessment, treatment planning and coordination, resource identification and development, advocacy, and collateral support to assigned clients of the Child and Family Program. Position Functions & Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. May provide coverage or support with direct referrals and intake within school settings. Maintains primary case responsibility and authority for assigned caseload. Arranges, monitors, coordinates, and provides needed services in the mental health system and the community. Develops problem-focused, strength based, goal oriented service plans which address the specific needs of the client.  Provides services primarily at an office and school-based location, but can at times be delivered in the community or home.  When clinically appropriate, will provide comprehensive community support services to assigned caseload including assistance in identifying and utilizing community resources, coordinating with peer providers, liaison with other agencies and organizations, referral to appropriate community programs, and completion of all necessary reports. Significant work with youth in a middle school setting providing therapy services and groups to youth. Supports an agency wide implementation of trauma informed care. Fosters healing, hopeful, honest and trusting relationships for consumers and employees; Values consumer voice, choice and self-advocacy. Demonstrates a commitment to cultural awareness and cultural humility. Promotes a safe, calm and secure environment with supportive care and family-driven services that are trauma specific and promote recovery and wellness. Other duties as assigned. Position RequirementsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities, Education and/or Experience:Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences from an accredited college or University and At least two years related experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mental Health Professional and Child Mental Health Specialist status preferred. Licensure in the State of Washington preferred. Current Washington State Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be able to provide ongoing coordination of case management services, therapy, assessment, service planning, resource identification and development, advocacy, service monitoring and follow-up, collateral supports and clinical services as appropriate to assigned caseload.  Must be able to provide such services with respect, tact and sensitivity. Ability to manage documentation requirements as set by agency and contracts. Ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team approach. Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing is essential.   Bilingual preferred (Spanish strongly preferred).
