Highlights of the Position

• Coordinate medical management of newborns at the First Impressions Birthing Center as part of a multidisciplinary team, including family medicine residents and providers, OB/GYN providers, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff. This is most of the clinical work of pediatrics at Robert Packer Hospital (RPH).
• Manage inpatients on the pediatric service at RPH from admission to discharge in collaboration with family medicine residents
• Provide Emergency Room consults for children in collaboration with family medicine residents when needed.
• Provide pediatric consults on surgical services and medical specialty services patients when needed.
• Partner with nursing staff leadership and nurse educators to promote ongoing training to support competencies needed for the management of newborn and pediatric patients at RPH.
• Work within a team of 4 dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and collaborate with Guthrie Pediatricians
• Ongoing professional and clinical training available
• Part of a physician led multi-specialty group practice with a fully integrated inpatient/outpatient EHR
• Robust EHR used in all areas (EPIC 10-Star health system, top 1% of EPIC Organizations)

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to obtain/maintain Pennsylvania and New York state license
• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) will be considered
• Experience in a primary care or pediatrics setting preferred, new grads will be considered
