Summary:
The HR Consultant, Senior, provides frontline support to leaders and teammates on routine employee relations (ER) and HR matters within assigned operational areas. Under the guidance of CHROs and in collaboration with HR Business Partners, this role handles day-to-day ER needs, leads employee relations investigations, ensures consistent application of HR policies, and helps foster a positive and compliant work environment. The HR Consultant, Senior develops relationships with operational leaders and partners with them on corrective actions and the resolution of teammate issues/concerns.
Responsibilities:
Operational Employee Relations Support: Serve as an initial point of contact for routine ER matters, including attendance, performance, conduct, and interpersonal workplace concerns. Provide timely, policy-aligned guidance to leaders and support documentation of employee concerns. Serve as a guide to leaders on teammate issues.
Issue Resolution & Case Management: Assist in managing a portfolio of active ER cases, lead employee relations investigations, and maintain accurate and timely system updates. Ensure documentation follows established processes and standards and brings forward trends or patterns in teammate concerns for review by HR Business Partners.
Partnership with System ER: Participate in handoffs and escalations to the System ER team as directed. Contribute to a seamless, consistent teammate experience across all HR touchpoints.
Leader Support & Capability Building: Build working relationships with operational leaders and act as a supportive HR resource. Educate leaders on policy application and documentation expectations. Reinforce consistent HR practices at the department level. Contribute to a seamless, consistent manager experience across all HR touchpoints.
Compliance & Risk Awareness: Apply growing knowledge of HR policies and employment practices to identify and escalate potential risk areas. Ensure actions align with organizational policy. Defer specialized compliance matters (e.g., ADA, PWFA, Title VII, Title IX, appeals & grievances, formal investigations) to the System ER team.

Education Requirements: ? Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
? PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Professional Experience Requirements:
? Requires four (4) years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations or HR generalist support. Requires experience advising leaders on employee relations matters including performance management and workplace concerns.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Strong judgment and decision-making.
Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to build trust and influence leaders.
Knowledge of HR policies and employment practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
