Position Options
Per Diem: Variable hours, generally between 7:00am – 5:30pm, including variable weekend and on call coverage
Full Time (72 hours biweekly):
Friday–Sunday, 7:00am – 7:00pm, with variable on?call coverage
Weekday schedule, generally between 7:00am – 5:00pm, with variable weekend and on call coverage
? Pay Range: $33.00 – $47.44 per hour ? $15,000 Sign On Bonus for Experienced Ultrasonographers ? Full time positions include a generous benefits package with nationally recognized carriers
Job Summary
The Ultrasonographer operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment to produce high quality images under the supervision of a Radiologist, following established protocols, procedures, and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
Certification
ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or board eligible
Specialty registration in at least one of the following required within 6 months of hire:
Abdomen (AB)
Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB)
Breast (BR)
Vascular Technology (VT)
BLS certification required
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with protocols and ACR standards
Adapt procedures to meet individual patient needs and clinical situations
Accurately differentiate normal vs. abnormal findings and communicate preliminary results to providers
Document exams and patient care accurately and timely using electronic systems
Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nursing, providers, and multidisciplinary team members
Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and departmental performance initiatives
Support student education, clinical rotations, and job shadowing as needed
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Regular exposure to electrical, mechanical, and radiant energy hazards and potential bloodborne pathogens
Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling; ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Use of diagnostic imaging equipment, computers, and patient transport devices
Required PPE includes gloves, gowns, masks, goggles, and face shields as appropriate
